Securina Walk Through Metal Detector Installation Prerequisites
Thank you for choosing Securina WTMD(Walk Through Metal Detectors). The following are installation and daily operating instructions for our WTMD(Metal Detector Doors). In addition to these instructions, this should be in accordance with local laws and regulations and government requirements.
Securina is specialized in producing multi-zone Walk Through Metal Detector (WTMD).
This WTMD(Security Metal Detectors) in part of the electronic control unit and two detectors. The electronic control unit includes a variable magnetic field generator, receivers, signal processors and process controllers; the security detector gate contains two transmitting and receiving antennas, which are pre-installed on the inner side of the two door panels. Among the above parts are connected via cables (the electronic control unit lead to two pcs of cables; these cables connect the control unit to the two detectors).
WTMD(Walk Through Metal Detector) outframe is consists of two door panels and the main box. One side of the door panels has a power connector at the bottom, while the other side has not. The main box of the archway is fixed with two door panels to shape the door arch. Electronic control units are fixed inside the main box. Inside the two-door plates, LED light bars are installed from top to bottom.

1.1: The Walk Through Metal Detector (WTMD) is divided between left and right: the left side of the human body facing the WTMD is the left side of the security metal detector gate; The left and right door panels of the WTMD can be obtained marks from the top cover position of the security metal detector door (L for left, R for right);
1.2: Confirm the installation is correct: the LED alarm light and the LCD display are on the same side (if the WTMD has 4(four) LED light bars, it can only be distinguished by the left and right door panel marks).
2: Installation precautions
2.1: Ensure that the installation ground is flat and firm, so that the WTMD(arched metal detectors) installation is firmly fixed and does not shake, to avoid a breeze or light touch of the WTMD causing the door body to shake and cause false alarms.
2.2: No large metal objects within 1 meter around the WTMD(door frame metal detectors), such as large iron doors, elevators, large iron columns, etc
2.3: Keep away from objects that generate magnetic fields, such as distribution boxes, motor equipment, etc
2.4: Keep away from high voltage, such as three phases of electricity above 380V.
2.5: When the WTMD requires high detection sensitivity (such as detecting metal objects the size of 1 square centimeter iron sheet), it is best to use a separate WTMD. If multiple WTMD doors are really needed, it is best not to exceed 3 working together, and the distance between each is required to reach more than 1 meter. If 3 WTMD doors work side by side, the system "Working channel" can be set as 0, 10, 20; [Overall Sensitivity]:220, each [Zone Sensitivity]: 220;
2.6: When the detection sensitivity of the WTMD is general (such as detecting 3 square centimeters of metal objects the size of iron sheets), multiple units can be used side by side, but the distance between the WTMD should preferably be kept above 50cm; This detection sensitivity is recommended to use up to Max: 10 WTMD doors side by side; The [Working Channel] of the system can be set as 0, 15, 30, 5, 20, 35, 10, 25, 40, 8; the sensitivity setting value is: [Overall Sensitivity]: 128, each [Zone Sensitivity]: 220;
2.7: When the WTMD requires low sensitivity (such as only requiring the detection of metal objects the size of mobile phones or controlled knives), multiple units can be used side by side, but the distance between the WTMD doors should preferably be kept above 30cm; The system [Working Channels] are: 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 10, 15, 25, 35, 45, 8, 18, 28, 38, 48...; [Overall Sensitivity]: 30, each [Zone Sensitivity]: 100;
2.8: Do not pass through the WTMD too slowly, if it is too slow or stands inside of the door, there may be fault detection or no metal objects cannot be detected. should pass at the speed at which an average person walks;
2.9: The installation ground cannot be all metal ground, the security door can be automatically balanced for the general cement floor containing a small amount of metal such as steel bars; If you insist to use it on an all-metal floor, you can reduce the sensitivity of the bottom area of the WTMD (zones No.1 and No.2), but false alarm or no alarm may occur in this zone.
